Support

Help for getting VoxShift running smoothly.

Use this page for setup checks, troubleshooting, and direct contact. VoxShift is a local voice morphing app for Mac, so most fixes start with local audio permissions, file access, and Seed-VC readiness.

Contact Support

For help with VoxShift, email hello@boldtec.io with the subject line "VoxShift Support".

Include your Mac model, macOS version, VoxShift version if visible, and a short description of what you were trying to do when the issue appeared.

Before You Email

  • Confirm microphone permission is enabled for VoxShift in macOS System Settings.
  • Try a short, clean spoken clip before testing longer recordings or movie imports.
  • Check that the reference voice is clear, dry, and not mixed with music or background noise.
  • Make sure the local Seed-VC engine shows as ready inside VoxShift.

Recording And Imports

VoxShift can record directly or import audio and movie clips with spoken dialogue. If an import does not behave as expected, try a common audio file format and a shorter clip first, then retry the original file after confirming the basic flow works.

Reference Voices

Built-in accent references are generated locally from installed macOS voices when available. Custom reference clips work best when they contain one clear speaker, minimal room noise, and a natural speaking pace.

Local Processing

VoxShift uses local machine learning for the voice conversion workflow. Your source audio, reference voice, and generated voice output are processed on your Mac and do not leave your machine during normal use.

Saving And Session Files

Working clips are temporary until you save them. If you need to keep a source, reference, or morphed output, use the app's save controls and choose a folder you can easily find again.

Helpful Details To Send

  • The exact error message shown in VoxShift, if any.
  • Whether the issue happens with recording, importing, reference generation, or rendering.
  • The audio or movie file format you imported.
  • Whether the same issue happens with a short test recording.
